The MP School District will be implementing an Extreme Heat Plan for the students and staff members at Freeman Davis Elementary when necessary.
The administration will monitor the heat and humidity that is present in the classrooms. Please understand that much goes into the decision making in moving students due to heat. Yes, the number one factor is the temperature. If room temperature approaches 80 degrees with very little air moving throughout the Freeman Davis building, we will put the Extreme Heat Plan in place for the day.
MP Extreme Heat Plan
Kindergarten and 1st Grade students will be transported, by bus, at 12:30 to the HS. At this time they will have classrooms set up in the HS, MS, & Upper Elementary. Mrs. Olson may decide to leave one or two classes of students at Freeman Davis in the air conditioned areas.
2nd Grade students will be transported, by bus, at 12:55 to the HS. At this time they will have classrooms set up in the HS, MS, & Upper Elementary.
We will begin to transport students back to Freeman Davis Elementary at 2:50. Students will be dismissed from Freeman Davis Elementary at 3:10.
Please understand that the times listed above may change somewhat due to the extreme temperatures.
If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call at 845-9204.
Sincerely,
Tim L. Frederick
Superintendent
Mobridge-Pollock School District
